The project's creator gives some of his reasons on the project's Github page why he created this app and it largely revolves around improved performance and speed. I like that it does not require file indexing to run the whole time in the background.
That said, see what you already have, as on Manjaro KDE I do find the standalone KFind is also pretty fast with wild card searches, and can do content searching if needed.
