Do you have an encrypted e-mail service (PGP on existing mail inc GMail, Thunderbird, ProtonMail, Tutanota, etc), or only standard unencrypted e-mail service (GMail or ISP type mail)?

A note for those wanting to add encryption to existing mail services:
1. Gmail - an extension like Flowcrypt works with own or generated PGP keys.
2. Thunderbird/Betterbird - built-in OpenPGP or S/MIME

I just now saw that the opening post contained a poll when you expand it... I mention this in case that others missed it, too.
I use the Thunderbird-internal pgp, but hardly any of my contacts have encrypted email (and I would not know because it is basically an external function not displayed - maybe I should add a note in a signature...), so I hardly use it...

yep exactly the problem I have too (hence that option in poll about No I don't know how to). Companies want to keep sending encrypted PDF docs, but they could have been just encrypting the whole mail. I suppose the issue is that every mail client does encryption a bit differently in terms of how you activate and use it. So there is just no common knowledge across all e-mail users. It's been there for ages, but really not in use.
I use ProtonMail a lot with my sister and family, and reason is because it is at least fairly friction free for her. My family won't get encryption activated on a desktop client, and probably not easily even with FlowCrypt in GMail.
Why I like Proton is that I can use the same OpenPGP encryption keys in Thunderbird as well as Proton, and the mail reads fine no matter which side I'm sending from.
That linked article talked about the stuff we've had for long, that few know how to use ;-)
