@TV series point+ The Expanse is back. Battlestar Galactica it is not but there have not been many better sci-fis since then. In fact, I'm struggling to think of one.
Legion is pretty wild and weird, especially Season 2 which just started.

..but I agree with you. We have not had a BSG replacement yet.
Well I am three episodes into The Expanse. So far I am enjoying it but, like everyone else said, this is no BSG. BSG had me addicted by the third episode.

I did find the novel series this show is based on. I downloaded a sample of the first book and enjoyed the sample but can't bring myself to spend $10 for the whole book... yet... another 10 to 15 minutes and I may have to cave...
more suggestions

@TV series point+ Time to pick the collective brain again. 123 go...
@elmussol I started see Hinterland. A bit "stick face" the protagonist, but the stories are well locked and the police investigation is interesting...
I love the slow pace. And it rains in Aber if you weren't aware before.
How you know a show is set in Seattle? It continually rains, and it is filmed in Vancouver BC
running out of stuff

@TV series point+ The time has come once again to ask for suggestions. And... go!
same feeling where people around me say "have you seen XY doing ZZ yesterday?" I say "who's XY?" "you know tho one you see on commercial ad for AB on TV".
So glad we've been without tv for al least 10 years now (hey, I think it's exactly 10 years... :celebrate )
We don't have a TV, we torrent what we want. So on our schedule and no ads :-)
sometimes I need something light, to break the rhythm, the rhythm of the demanding series, for this last night for example I have seen two episodes of Scorpion.
The Walking Dead Season 6

@TV series point+  Season 3 of Orange is the New Black is turning out to be a joy. Makes me laugh more than anything I watch on a regular basis and it's got Lori Petty in it (go watch Tank Girl).

And good on many levels. Exhibit 1: the corporate takeover subplot is absolutely spot on.

And now I'm sad it's over :-(

But there's going to be a season 4 :-)

And they should give you some kind of obscenity warning before playing Foreigner. #spoiler

@TV series point+ Just watched series ending Game of Thrones and I need a cup of tea. That was hell of a lot to pack into an hour. I love the way Martin is not afraid to kill off major characters. I remember being shocked when Lord Eddard (Ned to his mates) Stark was killed in the first series. I thought it was going to be about him. Remember the wedding? Holy cow.

I'm in the middle of the third book at the moment and am really unsure where we are up to in terms of the story TV vs books. I am confident about book four, but am I safe to read the fifth before the next TV? Do I want to know before watching? Will Martin ever get round to publishing another?

with a little of magic and certain amount of luck we can resurrect people, right? ;-)
tzag comrades. when i finished the last book in the series i couldn't wait for him to publish another. but that was so long ago i am not that fussed anymore, other things happen meanwhile

@TV series point+ Just watched the first episode of Happy Valley.

Very impressed. Set in West Yorkshire amongst normal people, it's funny and dark. Sarah Lancashire is tremendous. Time for episode two...

In my network activity: Edmussol edited a post dated 2 years ago 7 hours ago. Had second thoughts? :-)
Nope. Still brilliant -- bring on season 3.
I need to return to drug me with this...

@TV series point+ We are liking this a lot (halfway through season 1). Excellent production values, no helmets with horns and some mighty fine beardage.

It must have been a budget production if they couldn't, afford proper horned helmets ;)
Pillaging England is always a crowd pleaser.
